Acrylic modified high impact PVC plate TAFBILON®/KYDEX®
High-spec acrylic modified high impact PVC plate simultaneously having various functional properties and thermoforming property
Compatible with vacuum and pressure forming as well as deep drawing. It also features excellent flame resistance, impact resistance, and chemical resistance and is used in a variety of fields such as automotive, medical
devices, housings, interior materials, and industrial materials. Products with different grades and function assignment are also available.
TAFBILON Features
Deep formability
High tensile strength during thermoforming and large elongation, good mold repeatability, ideal for vacuum/pressure forming material. Deep drawing can be easily done in the temperature range of 170 to 190°C.
Flame resistance
Does not burn easily and has a self-extinguishing property. We have obtained 94-V0 certification under the UL standard (TA/TB/TC).
Processability
Offers excellent impact resistance and trimming can be done easily by NC machining and press punching.
Impact resistance
Has high impact strength comparable to polycarbonate and FRP.
Chemical resistance
Has good chemical resistance, no discoloration, no deterioration, and excellent corrosion resistance. (Excluding some solvents)
Lightweight
It is light, with 1/6 the specific gravity of iron, and is easy to carry and handle. Can reduce the weight of automotive interior materials.

KYDEX Features
Deep drawability
Molding can be done at a six times molding ratio, and deep drawing can be easily done in the temperature range of 177 to 190°C.
Flame resistance
Various grades are available for railway and automotive interior materials and aviation flame resistance, for example.
Impact resistance and chemical resistance
Maintains a high impact strength comparable to polycarbonate and FRP in Izod impact value. There is also no discoloration or loss of physical properties due to chemical adhesion.
